My journey as a therapist
I used to believe in some kind of end stage, ultimate, perfect goal – a harmonious and wonderful state that I would one day finally reach. Both for me as the perfect therapist with maximum knowledge and skill, and for the patients; a final state of total and 100 percent freedom, happiness, and harmony. This search for the ultimate goal that always seems to move is common in perfectionism – a very common coping strategy. And it is just one of many ways to try to deal with the complexity of life. We humans do so much to find ways to deal with the uncertainties and pain of life… We all have our own creative solutions, but many of them create more problems than they solve!
The answers lie so much deeper. We are on a journey where together we constantly discover new doors to open, learn more and realize that the more we learn, the more there is to explore – and we do it together! And the more we move, expand, learn, grow and develop, the richer and more beautiful life becomes. It is not without pain, but suddenly it feels okay. Pain is not the same as suffering. The pain, which is a natural part of being human, becomes just a drop in the great ocean. It is easy to bear softly, because life is so much more, and you are never alone.
At the beginning of therapy, it is certainly important to reduce suffering, to achieve an everyday life without constant anxiety, worry, emptiness, or inner struggle. But gradually new goals and possibilities open up and can begin to be discerned. It becomes exciting in a new way – a curiosity about what awaits next.
I have learned to let go of what doesn't work and instead find deeper and more meaningful paths in life. Just as my patients grow, I grow as a therapist with every meeting, every new door that opens. Life and we are big enough to carry, allow and make room for all that is – security and uncertainty, everyday life and adventure, pain and pleasure. When we deeply discover our innermost core, our most authentic Self, which stands firmly anchored no matter what happens and with roots deep down in something that connects us all with each other, pain becomes like a cloud in the sky or a ripple on a vast ocean. It is something we can meet with deep compassion, something possible, even easy, to embrace, love and heal.
It may sound foreign or strange. Or maybe it's something you've tried but never really succeeded at. Book a session and join me on a therapy journey – I'll use all my knowledge to help you, and together we'll make it possible.

Many patients have been supported and experienced real change through flexible and responsive therapy. I look forward to meeting you – together we will find a path that feels right and true.
“It has been fantastic to be able to talk about my deepest sorrows, something I never dared to do until now when I met someone I really feel safe with. To be able to talk about things I haven't told anyone. I feel hopeful. That things can be good in the end.”
