At Himlafri Terapi, I strive to offer a safe place to heal, deeply and truly. There is room for both individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy, with solid experience in working with relationship problems, trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, self-image/self-esteem, sleep, pain, and much more.
I offer my patience and commitment to work together towards profound change. We will explore past memories to help you leave old painful and destructive patterns behind, while actively focusing on change here and now, and forward. You may discover new insights into what you deeply desire and need, and together we will find paths, strengthen resources and abilities that will take you there. My hope is to gently and warmly guide you, keep your focus firmly on the core of what is important, and help you develop a growing sense of self-esteem, self-compassion, focus, freedom and courage.
The therapy is completely customized to your individual needs and is offered online, which many appreciate because it gives you the freedom to participate from home or wherever you are. You don't have to travel and can create an environment that feels safe and comfortable for you.
Method and approach
I have long and broad experience of working with a range of different approaches and methods, and can therefore make the therapy flexible and individually adapted to what suits you. If you want to know more about the specific methods, look in "posts".

Individual therapy
Of all the methods for insight and change, IFS is perhaps the form of therapy I value the most. It is not only effective for what is usually thought of as “trauma”, but for processing all the experiences, from childhood onwards, that you carry within you, and that have had lasting consequences on your actions, feelings, relationships and self-esteem. I would describe it as a way to unlock possibilities that previously felt inaccessible, create understanding for the “mess within” and pave a clear, accessible path for what is at the core of all successful therapy: insight, change and growth in body, heart, emotions and mind. The method becomes particularly powerful when it is used empathetically and flexibly, in combination with the collective wisdom from other methods, research and proven experiences – such as neuroscience, EMDR, somatic therapy, ACT, CFT and more. The key is always personal adaptation, and finding a path that suits you – I will listen to what YOU need.

Couples therapy
I also work with couples therapy, and much of the knowledge is linked to the psychology of the individual. The individual affects the relationship, and the relationship affects the individual. In couples therapy, I primarily work in depth with problematic attachment patterns (especially with EFT and IFS) that you have every opportunity to heal together with your partner.
The work consists of discovering the painful patterns that arise in your interactions, both during and between sessions, and with compassion for each other, trying new ground, new ways of speaking, helping, supporting and being with each other, while turning inward and healing your own wounds, so that the relationship can become a source of joy, security and satisfaction.
Couples therapy does not exclude individual sessions, where each person has the opportunity to deepen their self-awareness and work with personal difficulties, which can be redemptive and strengthening for the relationship.

Family therapy
As an extension of the above, I also have experience working with family constellations and the group dynamics that arise when more people live, work, play, and seek both freedom and closeness together. Sometimes you end up in destructive patterns and vicious circles that may need to be reconsidered, loosened and thereby lead to a liberation where everyone can come into their own in a way that expresses their full potential and satisfaction.
I also have experience in therapy with children and their special needs for concrete, imaginative, creative and empathetic tools and methods.

Therapy with the whole family, in any constellation, to understand and improve the dynamics of relationships, feel more security, pleasure, joy and harmony together.
